Ruger 22/45 LITE Sights?
I just purchased the new Ruger 22/45 LITE and so far I really like it. The one thing that is bugging me is the forward sight. It's just a dull black and I'm used to using night sights/fiberoptic. Do any sights for a 22/45 work on the LITE version? Any suggestions?
Any input appreciated. |

I have the same gun and the same complaint. Haven't had much of a chance to research it but I'd be keen on any input that the members here have.

I wonder ??
Please understand that I have not had the opertunity to inspect one of these. So with some reservations, I wonder if the HiViz sights might fit. I provide the following link for your review. ....

I too would like to know about alternative sights. This could be a deal breaker.

Update
All:
I couldn't find a response, so I just called Ruger. I spoke with a lady at the Arizona service department and she said that sights for the 22/45 standard do not fit the LITE edition. However, in my searching, i did find the following thread. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_5_50/12...2_45_Lite.html Apparently they were able to install some high viz sights, but they do stand a bit taller. For those more experienced shooters, will that many much of a difference? Since the rear sights are adjustable, I should be able to make some adjustments and zero it in again in theory correct? |

Bummer. I'm in the same boat. Love the gun, don't like the sights.

From the pictures I've seen these look like the Pac-Lite uppers. Are these an actual Ruger design?

Ruger 22/45 lite sights
Use Fluorescent Toe nail polish. Before you blow your money on new sights
I have done this for 35 years! And I will again as soon as my new 22/45 lite comes in from Buds. |

I was in Prescott recently for work and stopped into J&G to look around. Anyway, I had a chance to fondle a 22/45 Lite and almost walked out with my wallet $300 lighter! Very nice gun.

yes they have the same sight style as the 22/45 standards. I too have trouble with the front sight on my 22/45 lite after shooting my brothers standard which has the fiber optic... makes for a much better sight picture.
