How certain, now, is further gun control?
My gosh, with Obama's re-election, his comments about the AK in a debate, AND this Friday shooting...... man, I can't imagine that we aren't really in for tightened gun controls.
The political winds are, now, strongly in favor of all manner of controls. I doubt any Republican or 2nd Amendment proponent has the fortitude to withstand it (or willingness to take the political risk). What do you think? I'm just hoping that, if it is a ban, that they don't actually TAKE the banned firearms from our homes. If nothing else, they will want us to register ourselves and our unregistered firearms with the government. That's my guess. |

I think we have other thread on this running.
http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=509111 Take a look at the above thread and see if that will serve these questions. The cited politico url has a good take. I doubt that we will see a stampede. Be pragmatic. The fiscal cliff horror show will paralyze Congress until the next session anyway. The current Congressional makeup is not pro a massive new ban. So check out the thread and maybe we can just keep that one for the topic.
