MAGTECH vs. PMC

Loaders:

I need some .32 Auto brass as the $17/50 Ammo cost has made me buy the dies.
Graf's lists 500 PMC for $57, 500 Magtech for $60. Any preferences?

I had 3 boxes of factory new PMC for my 6.5 x 55 Swedish Mauser rifle, and the cases stretched oversize on the first firing, Winchesters did not.

Which is why I ask!

Have some .44 Mag. brass from both. The PMC is once fired and has a distinct stretch mark just up from the rim. Has that classic "case about to separate" look. I have resized a couple and it doesn't iron out. The Magtech has shown no irregular marks. In fact, I have been rather impressed with it. I have talked with others and they have had similar experiences. Of the two, I would have to go with Magtech.

Thanks for the comeback. It supports my experience. I was told that the softer the brass, the easier it is on the machinery that makes it.
I had some Fiocchi 38 Super brass and it took good effort to resize. Much more than Winchester. But it lasted almost forever. Maybe they have tougher machines to make it too

I thought PMC was out of the business... done producing and not to be heard from again?

How about Starline? Do they make 32 ACP?

I always buy Starline brass if the caliber I want is available. No .32 Auto.
I guess there aren't too many Skorpion owners out there!

There are lots of dealers handling PMC brass on the net, but I can't find a factory site. Maybe they are gone, and the brass offered is just in the pipeline.

I'm considering the same option - .32 prices are a rip-off. PMC ain't worth a damn in the calibers I already load for.

Gascheck - PMC never manufactured anything. It is a marketing company, sorta like Sears. They got started importing Korean military ammo, then started commercial importation, then bought Eldorado Cartridge.

PMC used to stand for Pan-Metal Corp, then for Patton-Morgan corp, etc. They've been in chapter 11 more than once.

I believe they are still in business, I had a chat with them at the last Shot show about the non-toxic primers they were planning to bring in from Russia.

Never cared for their Korean brass. My exprience parallels that of others in this thread - I had to discard a lot of 6.5x55 brass, it started separating after 2 loadings.

PMC sold all their US production equipment and moved their operation back to SK. They still sell their ammo here. I posted a thread on the move last year (below)

I don't have too much experience with PMC, and it's been so-so, but the Magtech brass I've used seemed to be exceptionally good. Go with the Magtech.
