K-80. With 32 inch barrels.
My second choice would be either a SX-1 or Model 12... -Bear |

Mossberg 500.
I'm a handgun guy but as we all know, every home should have a shotgun. I probably fire it 3 times month, between 30 to 60 rounds seeing how it's a SD gun and I like to stay proficient. |

Hard to choose. I love my supernova for waterfowl. BUT, hard to give up the Ithica 37. First 12ga I learned to shoot with was my grandfathers 1947 Ithica....it's still going strong now.

Do-It-All = 870.
Gotta be my Remington 870 Wingmaster. The look, the feel, the sound, the performance. It never fails to please.

I like the 870 just because it was my first shotgun. Mine has an 18.5 inch barrel and an extended mag tube with a folding back stock.

I'm old school, I guess. I still like my A-5.

I have two:
A 35 year old 12 gauge Wingmaster and 20+ year old 1187 skeet. Neither has ever gave me a bit of trouble and both will shoot whatever I put in them! |

Currently own an 870 and a Winchester 1300 and like the 1300 substantially more. Too bad aftermarket barrels are so hard to come by and cost as much or more than I paid for the the gun.

That's why most dedicated shotgunners have more than one. To do everything I want and need to do my minimum number is 5 and would be 6 if I shot trap. And yes one of my 5 is an 870. |

I wouldn't discount the 870 too much, oneounce. For a good inexpensive all around shot gun it is hard to beat and I still enjoy just having it. I keep mine at home now with the 18.5" barrel, but let my son use it now and then to shoot clays with the 28" vent rib. When we retire, I will try my hand at hunting with the 870. All that for a fraction the price of my Citori.

Oneounceload- so when 500 is mentioned, it could be any ga? And the A means it's a 12 ga? So what's a 20ga, B ?

Picture came out.
Well the picture itself didn't but a bunch of numbers did & if you click on it the picture shows. I first posted it on fb & then copied the u something number & pasted it. Doing it from my photo file in the computer doesn't work cause it's too much bytes or something. But fb shrinks pictures automatically & when you lift them from there it works. I'm sure there's an easier way but this way I understand at least.
