High Primers

Recently purchased a Square B from Dillion. Have been loading 9mm using used brass but cleaned(tumbled). Seem to be having a problem with high primers. I know that you are suppose to "feel" the primer seat. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I probably get 3-4 out of 100. Am I doing something wrong? Should this be happening at all? I'm getting to where I'm pushing up hard to (what, I think will seat the primer better). Does this make any difference? I am also checking every bullet and that's almost counter-productive. Thank you in advance for your advice.

I have been using a SDB for many years and have not had a problem with high primers in the 9MM. What type of primers are you using? Also are you using new brass?
I do know that when I load 45 ACP with CCI primers and new brass, they can be very hard to seat the first few times.

If you feel there is something wrong, call Dillon. They are great at helping figure out problems!

You might check to see if the problem cases are NATO brass with a primer pocket crimp. I've quit using mil-spec 9MM brass for that reason.

Stay aware,
Stay safe.

Checking every one is not counterproductive.
It is a must, regardless of the means of loading.

High primers can even (rarely) be found in new factory ammo.
