Generally speakling, with rifled slugs either cylinder or improved gives best results. Remington used to (still does?) recommend IMP with their slugs. You may want to try both and see which works best in your gun.

Open chokes,as a loose rule, work best, but...

Remington makes and offers a rifled tube for the Remchoke system. I've one in the deer 870, and it may possibly aid accuracy. Otherwise, a IC or Skt choke may be your best bet, but you won't know for sure w/o bench testing.

Oops, forgot slugs....

There's no ineffective slugs on deer sized game. Get some of those 5 packs and bench until you find what your shotgun "likes".

Lots of old threads on this, a little research will show you how to set up a slug gun,and get a zero w/o major trouble.
