What do I do with all of this brass?

I've been reading your forum for several months now. It's really helped me get into reloading. My question is: I came across 450 once fired Winchester .38 special brass at the firing range. Since I have several hundred that I'm loading now, I don't think I will be needing them for a couple of months.

A). Do I clean them now?
B). How should I store them?

You can stick them in a coffee can or some other container until you need them. You can clean them any time you wish.

you can purchase those plastic storage containers from kmart and they work ok,,,or you can purchase some of those 20mm ammo cans and keep em in or the smaller ones if you prefer...fubsy.

I generally tumble-clean my brass as soon as I return from the range. Store clean brass in large coffee cans or zip-loc bags.

You can generally store brass in about anything.. just keep it dry,, tumble it now... then again right before you load it,,

If you have a "dollar" store in your area, you can get plastic storage boxes for a buch apiece. I have so darn much brass, I finally went and got 45 boxes about 14"x5"x3". Still have to get a few more.

You can accumulate one hell of a lot of brass in over 45 years of reloading.

Empty ice cream pails work great, and the ice cream tastes great!

I'm with MacChainsaw1

Go to your local ice cream parlor and for .50 cents, they'll give you a great big 5 gallon container with a lid. I store dirty brass in one and polished in another with ziplocks protecting the polished brass.

Pull it out, deprime and load. No problem.
