adding extended mag on 870
Hi Folks,
If I opt to add the tac star extended mag on an 870, is it possible to convert it back to it's original set up for hunting (meeting the 3 load max.) My guess is no, as you pretty much need to drill the dimples out of the magazine tube...am I correct? And, If this is right, do they obviously sell extended mag plugs to meet the hunting regulations on shot capacity. Thanks in advance folks. Joe |

Yes, you can easily convert it back to the normal mag tube.
All you do is: Remove extension Remove spring and follower Replace original length spring and follower Add plug, if required Put original mag cap on. ---------------------------------------- That's it I know of no plugs for an extended tube, but you could make one up rather easily with a piece of dowell. |

Brownells sells an extended plug that you can trim to whatever length you want.
