Cutting chrome lined barrel

I am looking at having someone cut down a 20" Bushmaster barrel and recrown it. They say that this will not cause a problem with the chrome lining. Any opinions? Thanks, Mike...

Mike, I've never had anyone tell me of a problem after cutting a chrome lined barrel. I install choke tubes and recut forcing cones in a lot of chrome lined shotgun barrels as well as cut and recrown some chrome lined rifle barrels. I wouldn't expect a problem. George
