Model 629 Classic Deer Load

I went to the range this morning, sighting in my 629 Classic with Millett red dot for deer hunting. My load is the Speer 270 gr bonded SP over 4100 powder for about 1285 fps. I sighted in a couple inches high at 50 yds., then moved back to 100. Nicely centered 4.85" group for 5 shots, in very gusty 20+ mph winds.

I'm a very happy hunter!

What are you hunting? Those are really small holes.

I'm hunting whitetail deer. This load will be deadly out to 125 yards.

My revolver has a 6 inch barrel.
