Springfield Armory: Free Mags with M1A

Just as an FYI for anyone who is thinking about a new Springfield Armory M1A. They're offering free magazines with purchase: http://gearup.springfield-armory.com/Gearup.asp

I want a scout squad bad. Too bad HK and springfield are offering the best deals when I am broke.

Either that or someone should start manufacturing extractors to USGI specs since the stock of USGI parts are drying up fast. One of the reasons I no longer have much interest in M1A's. Not worth buying a $1,200-$1,500 rifle only to have to swap out half the parts for USGI to bring it up to spec.

I get a lot of parts here:

http://www.treelinem14.com/

While the USGI parts are best, I dont think everything needs to me. This is a good guide of parts to replace:

http://m14forum.com/m14/152502-sai-r...s-replace.html

Its not the Bible, but a pretty good guide.

Check the www.m14forum.com classifieds. I picked a couple up there and just sold them on there since I got out of the M1A/M14 game. Be careful about who you buy your parts from, there are tons of people selling what they claim to be USGI extractors and they aren't. M1 extractors will also work with M14/M1A's.
