Remington 22 golden value pack ?
I have a Ruger MK II 22/45 and would like to ask if anyone has fired these Remington rounds ? They are a 36 gr plated hollow point.
Gander Mountain has them on sale for $16.99 for a pack of 5255 after $4.00 mail in rebate. |

I have shot them in my Ruger Mark III. There seems to be quite a few duds. I shoot Federal bulk pack with no problems.

That's about the nastiest .22 ammo on the market ! Lots of duds , each one seems to sound different . The bullet lube they use is some kind of wax that gums up semi autos pretty quickly . As bulk ammo goes , it's the pits . Not that any of it is very good , I'll stick with the Super-X , my .22s love it !

Try them !!

I generally stay away from "all" bulk packs. I give you credit for trying to save some money. Can't really predict how your Mk will perform with this ammo and certainly try some and if they don't work out, use them in a bolt action. ... You will find just about anything, in my plinkers but for hunting and target, I usually stick with CCI Mimi-mags and/or Winchester Super-X. Be Safe !!!

Thank you all for the replies, I will stay away from the Remington's. Just was thinking this was a deal price wise, but I don't need the head aches.
I'll stay with CCI and Winchester which I have used and liked in other pistols and rifles. |

I will only shoot CCI and federal. Have had two slamfires with winchester "super x" (brass diameter too big) and with remington golden bullets about 1 out of 10 cases split the last time I tried them (brass too hard)

Don't like them in my Ruger. CCI standard velocity are excellent
