Which gun will be the best choice?

Im not sure about the Sig 2022, but I owned and then sold to my best friend a Sig SP2009, which is basically the same gun as the 2022, without the rail. He then went out and got a SP2340, which is the same gun but in 40 S&W...both guns have been incredible for thousands of rounds, amazing reliability and accuracy, nothing at all bad to say about them. You will see some barrel peening, but it stops after 500-100 rounds and doesnt seem to effect anything at all.
The Gen4 17 is definitely a risk, many many people are having problems with the Gen4 9mm's. I would stay away, far away at this point.
HK's are nice, very nice, if I were you it would be between the Sig and the HK. I happen to live 20 mins from where the Sigs are made, so that would also influence my decision
If you had mentioned a Gen3 Glock, I would say that was your best bet, but given your choices, I would have to vote for The Sig or the HK evenly

I'm wondering, does anyone had a problems with the stock glock sights? They tend to fail , right?

And i heard the glocks are more prone to misfires

This article is from 1995. http://membres.multimania.fr/shooter/glock/glock4.html At that time Chuck Taylor had 100,000 rounds through his Glock 17 and had 1 malfunction at around the 33,000 round count. He had a blown primer at around round #56,000. He had replaced zero parts other than worn out magazines and holsters.

That was 15 years ago, he has well over 300,000 rounds through it now and has had to replace some small parts. They are ugly, but you won't find a more durable, reliable gun at any price.

I have both the SigPro 2022 9mm and .40S&W. I also have the Glock 19 Gen 4 (9mm Compact) and Glock 23 Gen 4 (.40S&W Compact). All are problem free. The 2022s are DA/SA - that might be a consideration if shooting matches. The Glocks are DAO. I have carried all of them in OWB holsters that are easily concealed with an outer shirt/vest/jacket. I purchased each of them for less than $500 (but that's here in the US). IMO, you couldn't go wrong with any of them; and as already suggested earlier in this thread - if possible, you should try shooting them before deciding.

You can never go wrong with any of the choices you provide us. Something you want to get you started, Glocks is the best imo. I started with a G19 and completely hooked on to it. Got rid of that and got the HK USP .45 full size, and now in the process in getting a G17 because I want to get into competitive shooting.

i chose hk p 30 because it is of very high quality, very comfortable, accurate. it can be handed down through generations.

Concealed/open - P30.

I have an HK45 Variant 1...it's the best .45 i've ever shot. the HK p30 is the little brother....never shot the p30 but if its as smooth as the 45 i'd get one.

I own two Gen3 .40 Glocks, I love them both. I've never had any experience with the Gen4 Glocks other than holding them, but it seems like the 9mm Gen4s are over-sprung.

The Gen4 G17/19 would probably work great for you, especially if you use 9mm Nato, but the Gen3 already has a proven track record with its current configuration.

The mag release will make sense once you get used, plus it is fully ambidextrous. As for the "spider-man grip" I would venture to say it the most ergonomic grip out there I like it more that my CZ's grips.

And why do you say the USP 9 is better than the P30?

Although technically Glock is a single action(called safe action), It has no resemblance to a 1911 trigger.

Glock is mostly hype IMO. I work in a gun store and I see them come back as much as any other reliable brand. They DO do what they are asked, and do it at an affordable price (hence the reason police DO use them, not because they are PERFECTION or magical).

Most decent manufacturers have their "hype" followers. My experience with Glock is limited, having only owned three in my life, and even then only one at a time. They've served mie exceptionally well thus far.

Nothing magical in them for me; they're a service pistol, and are used accordingly. If mine didn't work exceptionally well for me, I wouldn't own or carry it.

Everyone because of my screen name is going to say I am brand loyal, but I can tell you at the moment the only HK I still have is a shotgun (Fabarms made) but am currently looking for a nice p7.

No such thing here. We each have our preferences, and our reasons for them.

I feel if you were going to be spending the same I would go with HK because it has much better fit and finish usually, the grip is more comfortable, I think the made release located on the trigger guard is ideal.

Much of this is a matter of personal preference. I've not owned an HK yet, but shot a buddy's HK P2000 last week alongside my G23. He perfers the feel and workings of the HK, of course. I'm far more comfortable with my Glock 23. Both were very accurate, with different type recoil in each one. The HK had more muzzle flip, while the recoil of my G23 was more in line with my hand, wrist, and arm. I could shoot mine faster on repeat shots, but he was equally fast with both. He's a border patrol officer, so he shoots a LOT of .40 ammo from his issued P2000 and his own.

At the same price, I'm not sure which I'd go with...other than considering resale value. Here, used HK's sell for more than new Glocks do. HK makes awsome firearms, but I really prefer the G23 for my own use. Between the HK P2000 and a full sized Glock? I'd choose the HK every time, even though I don't care for the grip angle quite as much.

The HK's fit feel and function great for me. I HAD a Glock 17 who had its fair share of FTE and FTF's with FMJ's and never fit my hand extremely well.

I had a CZ 75B that was equally disappointing, but they're usually pretty good guns with a great reputation.

That all being said those are MY reasons for ME not ever buying another Glock....YOU need to find out which feels, functions, and fits best for YOU.

As to the Gen 4's I keep hearing buyer beware of problems.

I agree, and understand. I feel the same way about CZ handguns.

Sig's are great guns; the one's I've shot didn't fit my hand well.

As with any gun you will need to practice to get good/used to it. A preference people have in the p30 is to go with the LEM trigger.
