Edit: To remove remarks that might be offensive to the calorically-challenged.

You know, like hiding multiple hand guns, ammo, spare mags, rappelling rope, an AR & miscellaneous items in the rolls & other un-PC stuff like that.

after reading this thread I feel like a part of something much bigger than myself.

I also feel lucky to not be able to lose things under my rolls.

I read somewhere about a guy that was such a large specimen that he carried an N-frame S&W in a pocket. That's a large human being.

I just thought of this story, I believe I read it on TFL. At any rate, below is the link.

HPD: Inmate Hides Gun In Fat Layers

HOUSTON -- A nearly 600-pound man was able to hide a weapon for more than a day while he was in custody, police told KPRC Local 2 Wednesday.

600! All you 300 pound posters are light weights.

How much do I have to weigh at 5'10" to be fat??!!!

If I qualify already... might be borderline...at just over 200lbs.

I carry one left and one right...both belt hosters,,,open top

I am happy to say that I had to worry about this for almost thirty years, but no more--I was 305 and I have now been @180 for 2.5 years. Man does that make a difference in so many ways including for sure CCW.

For those of you looking to lose weight, here's wishing you good luck in the New Year! For those not, have a cheeseburger for me!

-Cheers

Don't get all hot and bothered

My "other" carrry option is in a maxpedition (appropriately named) Fatboy S type versipack or a Jumbo versipack. They both serve their purpose very well.

I'm not as big as some of all y'all. 6'4" and 250#.

I use a Galco Belly Band and carry a Beretta 92 or Sig P220 IWB at 4:00.

Works for me.....

I'm 5'9" and weigh 275. I use a "Summer Special" style holster or a Crossbreed Super Tuck. Wearing the fat boy shirts that fit me, I could almost hide an Uzi. I carry a commander size 45 1911 all steel gun and don't have any printing problems. You need a GOOD belt whatever size you are to make carry more comfortable.

The 5.11 shirts with the holster are nice... I also have a 5.11 jacket with holster pockets on the left and right side...

@ wildalaska ... my job is pretty boring so all I have is time... until people start fighting and yelling at each other... but on average boring

6"4" and 260 lbs, and I carry OWB @3:00, covered by coat in winter or shirt in summer. Tried just about everything else.

I gotta post this for us big guys. This is NOT an Ad as these are my personal vests modeled by my wife. We do not sell or have any ties to the makers/sellers of these either. I simply filmed them for folks like us to see some of the options available to them! If I remember correctly, I don't even have links to the manufactiurers...

I get a floor jack and prop it up on cinder blocks just below my waist-line and then put a 4x4 on the jack. My wife works the jack while the 4x4 lifts my belly fat and I quickly stick my .44 mag w/ 8 inch barrel agaist my groin and quickly (as quick as I can) step back and the flab then hides the gun very well.
^Funniest thing I've read all day.^

I've been quickly gaining weight over the past six months -- haven't worked out since the summer. Rgh.

Anyway, I'm quite an advocate of the Belly Band holster. Super comfortable, works in numerous different configurations, cheap, and functional. Can't beat 'em. Some carry extra mags, too.

Some pockets are larger than others...... not all pants are created equally...... though one of the funniest things I have ever seen was a ...... young man...... standing on a corner, wearing the baggiest, saggiest pair of jeans you have ever laid eyes on...... wind blowing about 35 miles an hour: those pants were aflappin' and asnappin' like a storm flag in a gale, and well, just beatin' the hell outa him...... he was standing there, back to the wind, and I'm thinkin', ".......that wind gets any worse, and they'll find him in Kansas.".

Same here. Wife's broken leg has grounded me from the gym the past 3 months. I use a belly-band once in a while and it's definitely comfortable, especially under a sweater. But it's certainly not a quick draw rig.
