Source for hex pan head action screws
I'm looking for replacement action screws for my Win 70.
Want to switch to hex pan heads from the slot pan heads. Winchester no longer carries the hex heads for my older 70. They couldn't even tell me the thread dimensions. Trip to the hardware store got me close at 1/4-20 and 1/4-28 but no cigar. Any suggested sources? Just want not to be on pins and needles that my slot bit will slip and scratch something. |

Check out McMaster.com. HUGE industrial supply shop and they have literally every type / size / pitch / hardness / thread fastener ever made.
Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Or just order them from Brownells or Midway.
Winchesters had oddball screw thread pitch, it is not a standard thread pitch.

The Win 70 is threaded 1/4"-32, good luck finding that at a hardware store. As Scorch suggested www.brownells.com part # 661-000-057
