Leather, kydex or a combo?

Thin is in.
The thinner the holster, the easier it carries. Some rigs have too much bulk. As it is, a 220 isn't a slim gun and you'll have to open your belt a notch or two to accommodate this fine pistol. Avoid any holster that uses a clip you might find on an eyeglass case. Clip must lock onto you belt so that the rig doesn't ride up and out.

I just bought a Galco Summer Comfort for my P220, and love it. It is all leather, and was surprisingly comfortable.

Galco Summer Comfort Special is a great one and so are BladeTec IWB. I'm not a fan of CrossBreed, they just don't fit me well.

Kramer Leather....horsehide over their cowhide ( horsehide is easier on the finish )....with a forward FBI tilt is my personal choice.

Mitch Rossin makes some very fine IWB holsters for Sigs. Picked one up at the Sig pro shop a couple weeks ago, its the nicest holster I have owned yet. Fits the gun like a second skin.

If you choose kydex, I really like the beltless series I have for my HK45 from Zero Concealment.

Crossbreed
I'm a huge fan of the crossbreed IWB holsters ( I own 5) have a look at them as a good option.

Once you pick a rig, you're bound by Internet Law to give us some 220 pictures.

Hey, I've got a P220 - I had an inside the waist band rig, but in order to rock one, YOU better not have one...or a big one....if you know what I mean! As my waistline grew, the IWB holster grew less comfortable. I don't consider myself fat, so it doesn't take much!
I just switched to a paddle holster - functionality is MUCH nicer! Just my 2 cents! |

The Galco "King Tuk" holster is my choice for comfortable and well-concealed iwb carry for my SIG 220 Carry model. It's pretty much a copy of the well-regarded Crossbreed holster.
