I was wondering if gas checks are used with FMJ bullets that have lead exposed at the base. I have some Winchester 230 Gr. FMJ (.45 ACP) and would like to use it for .45 Super. The bullets are not totally jacketed as there is lead exposed at the base. I am just curious if the exposed lead at the base will be a problem at higher velocities. Thanks.
