SKS Gas Tube

Recently bought a Yugo SKS.Is it normal for there to be some play or looseness in the gas tube? It's tight front to back but has some sideways looseness. It seems ok and works great.

That sounds normal. IIRC, mine has a touch of wiggle play but otherwise works fine.

The gas tube isn't something that has to lock in perfectly; so long as enough gas gets in there to operate the action you'll be just fine.

Shouldn't be an issue. The tube holds the piston in place. Wiggling side to side won't affect the cycling of the piston.
