What's is a good rifle data book?

I'm getting into competitive shooting and I need a data book for bolt action rifle .308 with scope, starting at 100yds and going out to 500yds. I've been out of the service for a while and used to fire with M16 a2 iron sights only so I am new to the scope theory and last time I used a data book was 7yrs ago in boot camp. Also what are some good things to have in the cover of the data book (i know the obvious like pencil and eraser lol). I know some old school method like the point method where I pick up some grass or leaves and letting it fall to the ground or even watching the flag but want to know some other helpful tips or guides. thanks.

Champion's Choice has some pretty good score books (data books).
