Moving: VA to CO, what happens
Come February I'm thinking of moving from VA to CO. In doing so I'm curious about what actions might need to happen regarding my current arsenal. In VA our laws are very lax, with no registration or permits. When relocating what type of things should I be expecting or looking for?

Thanks for the quick reply I did notice while doing some searches that CO seems to be exactly on the same page as VA concerning purchasing and owning firearms. Only permit required is for concealed. I'm glad that will be a painless process.

Yeah, CO is pretty good.
Avoid Denver and you'll be fine. Denver has an AWB and some funky carry laws. Last edited by raimius; November 19, 2009 at 03:40 PM. |

Carry in Denver
Actually, if you have a concealed carry permit, you can carry anywhere in Denver where it is not explicitly prohibited by state law, such as federal buildings, public transit, any private business or residence which prohibits it, etc. Denver cannot trump state law when it comes to concealed carry. Open carry is a different story though and is prohibited in Denver.
A very good resource for Colorado guns owners when it comes to concealed carry can be found on the Rocky Mountain Gun Owners web site (http://www.rmgo.org/ccwguide/).
