SA M1

I got my M1 Garand back from a friend I had let borrow it. I looked up the serial number and it is a Springfield Armory M1 made in 1954. I feel a range trip coming on........

Gump, why did you correctly reassemble that rifle sling so fast?

Because you told me to, First Sargeant!

Well, I just got back from the range. I sent 9 en bloc clips worth of M2 ball downrange, shooting at 25 yard slow fire pistol targets. I had a couple of other targets up but at that range I couldn't even see the dot of a bullseye so I just aimed "center mass". I had to adjust the sights a bit as I was hitting low, but managed to keep the 8-shot groups more or less centered once I made the correction. I guess more practice is in order. Oh gee, I guess that means more range trips... lol

Gump, why did you hit the black on that target so many times?

Because you told me to First Sargeant!
