RUHKGP-141

So a while back I asked you guys which gun I should get for my first. I narrowed it down to a Ruger GP-100 I have looked at a few of them and some 686's and feel like the S&W isn't significantly better enough to warrant the extra money.

But while looking I came across this particular one which looks AMAZING. The RUHKGP-141 it's a 4" barrel in satin grey.

My question really is, is that finish a bad idea for a first time gun owner. It will be just for home defense and at the range. I'm just worried that the finish won't hold up.

Any thoughts?

Stainless is stainless. It should hold up just fine.

any finish is fine for a first time gun owner. it is important that you learn proper care regardless of what you get. stainless is won't show holster wear and is less prone to rust, but get what you like and take care of it and you will be fine.

have fun in your new hobby and welcome
