AR 15 Info needed

I got back from a couple of months goofing off in Colorado yesterday and picked up my new AR 15.COM rifle from the FFL today. The last time I handled a similar weapon was when I turned mine in at Ahn Khe in 1966. It's amazing what you can forget in 35 years. It took me a while to figure out how to load the thing. Had to call my son to field strip it. Can anyone tell me where I can get a good book on the AR 15 to include detail disassembly and trigger work.

You can get copies of the -10 operator's manual and the -23 maintenance manual at http://old.ar15.com/books/ along with a bunch of other goodies.

Scott Duff and Walt Kulek have an "owner's manual" out for the AR-15 also, which you can find either at www.scott-duff.com or www.fulton-armory.com.

Enjoy!

I'd also leave the ammo in the closet, and just play with it for an hour or so, getting familiar with the gun. Might not hurt to strip it down and check out the moving parts too, I always strip my AR's and take the bolt out and check it over before a shooting outing. I also picked up the AR15.COM LEGP, it's a fine shooting rifle.
