Stuck slide on firestar 40
Hi guys,
I just bought a used firestar 40 at a local gun shop and tried to take it apart to clean and inspect it.I moved the slide back and locked it, hammer was cocked and I removed the magazine and the slide will not come off. It moves about a half inch forward and stops. Something is preventing it from coming off.I can't see what could be holding it up. Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks. rovin32 |

If I get a chance I'll take a look at my 9mm Firestar. I can't thing right now what might be holding yours up.

Possibly because he started doing it in almost the reverse order of what the manual says
Mag First. Check chamber for clear... Then download the manual from the Star site and do it exactly as it says http://star-firearms.com/firearms/manuals/ And in case you don't already know, the only difference between a M43 & M40, is the barrel & mag & one or two other parts...everything else interchanges. BTW, Nice vid, Burrhead
