My "Sporterized" Gewehr 98. My grandpa assembled this gun from a really beat up old WWI era Gewehr. The bolt handle was turned down to accommodate a scope, the barrel is a replacement 8mm from a parts gun and is in good condition. There has been some discussion of rebarreling the gun to .308 but somehow this seems wrong to me. On the other hand ammo is much more affordable and available. In any case is has been almost 100 years and she keeps 2" at 100 yards all day. I wouldn't sell this rifle for anything.
