THUNDER ... Taking my custom .62 flintlock out of retirement

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhaCTAO3PgA

Today, the last day of the year, found me taking my custom .62 Caliber, Christian Springs flintlock rifle out of the gun safe. I have not used or shot it for a few years or so.

I was happy to see it still is right on the mark with full loads; 120 grains of real black powder under 320 grain real round balls. What a fun this way!!!

I am considering taking it back out to the hunting fields sometime this next two weeks. We actually have snow this year, so a walk in the woods would suit "THUNDER" just fine!!!

That's pretty cool! I hope you get the chance to blast something with it while in the woods.

I agree!

It was made in 1989, and I have taken a bear in Canada, my feet and the bear's feet on the ground, and a gaggle of deer in Colorado!
