bullets recovered from them are pretty nice

I did some testing of new loads into a snowbank off my driveway a few weeks back ( one tested, was for my antique 44 American Bulldog ) I just shot into the snowbank, a cylinder full, to get a group size... yesterday I picked up a perfect cast lead bullet from the nearly melted pile... got to look at how the bullet looked after being fired still had all the lube in the groove rifling pressed into the bullet, & just a little scrubbing from the barrel, on the base of the bullets edges...

might have to try that on purpose next winter
