Will my new Sig barrel be a "drop in" fit?
I just ordered a new barrel for my pistol, a 226 Sig (9mm). The New barrel is a factory Sig barrel (probably a test barrel, but still New).
I know I have put somewhere between 18 to 20,000 rounds through my pistol myself. I bought it used, but it looked almost new then. Probably a police trade-in. My question is, with the wear that my pistol has on it, will the barrel probably drop in or what do I need to look for? I have done some pistolsmithing, but not fitting a barrel. Thank you in advance, louielouie |

Parts that require fitting are either out-of-spec or oversized parts. Since you are using an OEM part in a worn gun you should have no trouble. If anything, the fit could be on the loose side, but will probably be identical to what you have now.
