Thank You All!!!

With the iminent closing of TFL I wanted to take a few minutes just to thank all the members. You ladies and gentlemen have made moderating this forum very easy. I can only recall deleting one thread and locking one or two over the years I've been involved with this site. This has been a forum where arguments, name calling etc have been nearly non-existent. It's been a place where everyone has made a real attempt to help. And I thank you for it. I'll miss this forum.

I want to especially thank the 'unofficial moderators', Jim Keenan in particular, who have stepped in and given from their wealth of gun knowledge and experience. There's been a few times when I've seriously considered asking Jim to just take over as moderator here. Especially over the last 2 years because I was feeling like I just didn't have the time to give this forum the attention in needed. Jim isn't the only one by any means but he does stand out. Thank you, Jim.

You will no longer be able to post questions here after 1 Jan. You can post questions at my website. www.stringergunsmithing.com. Just click on "Ask the Gunsmith". It isn't a discussion board per say and not nearly as fancy as TFL but discussions are welcome and I will continue to try and answer your questions the best I can.

Thank you all. George

George,

Thanks to you for all the help you have given. I first learned about TFL from your board when I was websearching for gun info. And I never would have gotten my Marlin 45 back together without your help.

George, out of all the moderators here, I think you drew the easier duty on this one. How many threads do you see here titled "Phillips or Torx, which is better?".

A huge thanks to you and all here who have helped me and many other guys who didn't get a chance to say it! If it wasn't for you guys, I know my parts box would be a whole lot bigger!

Now, where did that darn spring shoot off to....

I never did post much, very busy, me, but I am certainly going to miss TFL in general, and this forum in particular.

Take care, Gentlemen

Thank you, George. Those of us who were able to help were glad to do so. At least, I was.

Merry Christmas to you all.

Thank you, George, for all the timely advice and encouragement. Will you be joining "TheHighRoad.org" with Oleg Volk and the gang? I just registered there yesterday and it looks like a nice clone of TFL with ALOT of TFL alums.

Yes indeed, Thanks.

I often just cruise the gen disc., semi auto forums etc.

I only came here when I had a problem. Then a search usually had the fix I needed.

Thanks,

Ehenz.

Thank you George. You unselfishly brought to us a skill many of us could only wish to have; myself included.

For those of you who may surf through this site and wish to contact George Stringer, George may also be reached at the gunsmith forum at http://www.TheHighRoad.org
