Pioneer model 25
I can not find information on a Gambles Pioneer Model 25 rifel can anyone help

It sounds like a store brand. "Pioneer" was one of the many names used by Crescent Arms Co. on shotguns, and they may also have made rifles under that name. Here is a link that might be of interest.

Interestingly I've found several references to Crescent making .22 rifles but I've yet to see one. I wonder how many were made or perhaps they imported frames from Belgium? Any one out there in never never land have a .22 that is marked Crescent??

The Gunparts 'Cross Reference' page shows a Gamble Pioneer Model 26, no Model 25, as being a Savage 5B or 86E.
There was a Crescent Hardware Co. Your's might be one of their's. That'd likely make it a Savage. Mind you, these cross reference lists are incomplete. Neither Crescent Hardware nor Crescent Firearms appears on the Gunparts list. |
