Lubing Shells

At gun show today I saw some spray lube similar in looks to the Dillon stuff I now use. Instuction said to stand the CASES UP and spray..showed a pic of rifle cases standing up! Don't seem a good idea to me to have lube inside the case......or am I missing something here?

Many case lubes in use today will dry out (evaporate) after a while.

You can lube the inside of the cases depending on what you use. I use Gardner Bender wire pulling lubricant. It costs about $4/qt at your local hardware store. A little more at Lowes. Get the wax based version - works a little better. GB wire lube does no react with powder, so I use it to lube the inside of my cases for bullet seating. Don't take my word for it. Check out testing done at

I love the stuff, it costs a fraction of what the majors are charging for lube and it works better IMO.
