Jokes aside, does anyone see it as odd to or strange to handle an unloaded gun for amusement?

Maybe I'm dense, but what exactly are you referring to? Give an example, and I'll tell you if it's strange.

Favorite is the Glock 19 Gen 3. Fun to shoot, good price for a well developed gun. Tried out many more expensive handguns, and always go back to the Glock for EDC and going to the range.

freebird72, if meant as in fetish-like behavior, that might be odd.
After re-reading the OP, that may have been what was meant; I was thinking my own thoughts, about what guns point and come back on target most naturally. That may not have been what the OP wanted. |

Ruger Single Six. First gun I learned to shoot, still points so naturally that the targets seem to develop holes in the right places magically.

Bersas are big bucks but worth every dollar.
I never shot one that didn't feel perfect. Great guns. Eric

I like my Kahr CM9, but my favorite would have to be my Ruger SR9c. It shoots better and feels better than any full size hand gun I've ever owned.

I think it is a matter of personal style, like whether you like buckwheat or rye bread whether or not you get "warm fuzzy feelings" from inanimate objects or which ones. Some people do, some don't. Some objects generate feelings (positive or negative) in some people and some don't. Mostly within the range of normal human psychology...mostly. Lost Sheep |

I've done the 1911 thing but I have to say that, for me, nothing beats the feel of a CZ. I had a Compact 75 and it fit my hand perfectly. Alas, IMO, it's slightly too large for AIWB carry, so it got traded away and I purchased my present carry piece, the CZ 2075 Rami alloy 9. Bingo, also perfect feel but ideal for AIWB and any other method. Best all round gun I've had over the years and at last count I think I've had 26 just in the last 5 years.

Sounds like I need to get a 1911!
I prefer my M&P .40, just feels right with the large backstrap installed. |

I'd say it's probably a toss up between my Walther PPQ and my Sig Sauer 226 9mm

Colt SAA 5 1/2" barrel
1911 Colt SAA 4 3/4" barrel It's a really close call but I handle the Colt SAA 51/2" the most. |

For me it's a toss-up between a Sig P226 9mm or an M&P Shield 9mm. Totally different platforms, but both are very comfortable and easy to shoot accurately for me. M&P 40C is a VERY close third.
