help identifying case

While reblueing a p-08 luger I took apart the mag and there was a old steel case jamed in the spring. Cant seem to find it in any of my books.
It's a rimmed case that is .720 long and .380 on the outside of the stright wall case. The inside where the bullet sits is .330 and the date on the back of the case has 43 on it and the head stamp says "Ch " and comes from the FN plant run by the Germans at the time. Not sure why it was in the mag but it sure worked better after I took it out.

I do not have my manual nearby for case specs. I am going to hazard a guess that it is a .32 Auto.

The dimensions given don't exactly fit the 32 Auto/7.65 Browning dimensions, but they are close.

FN was producing 32 Auto pistols during German occupation, so it stands to reason that FN ammunition plants would continue to churn out 32 Auto ammunition.

Still, the cartridge length seems a bit long.

I'm more curious about how it got in there. I suppose this is one of those mysteries that just can't be solved...

It looks as if it has way too much rim for .32 Auto.

Also, it looks almost as if the inside of the case mouth is stepped.

Finally, if it's steel, I don't know of the FN factories ever producing .32 Auto ammo with a steel case.

I'm thinking you might actually have part of an ignitor assembly for a small artillery shell.

My fist thought was 32 but the rim is too big. Its also boxer primed.
