Gas block / barrel harmonics

I have a RRA ar-15 and I have been changing out a lot of parts. I was thinking of replacing the gas block because its bulky and heavy, could this change up the harmonics and mess with the accuracy of my reloads? I don't really shoot past 300yds, if that makes any difference.
