Winchester 1897?

Does this look like a good deal for a shotgun? I like the fact thats its actually an antique and a solid frame.

From what I've seen over the last 3-4 months, yes, $425.00 would be a good deal on a '97 Winchester.......just remember, that's only the opening bid. Tack on the shipping. Tack on the transfer fee if you atre not a license holder, and you're up around $475 on the opening bid.

You planning on using this in SASS Competition?

Yes, I'm thinking about giving a slide action a try. I'm a little hesitant to put too much wear on an original old shotgun. Maybe I would use this one for show and a replica for serious shooting.
