wrong primer size on factory brass?

I buy once fired brass from a friend of mine for my .45 acp. The other day i got 500 brass from him. After cleaning and sizing i was cleaning the primer pockets and found that 150 of them were federal casses and had a small primer pocket? I have never ran into this before.

I shoot 5.5gr of unique under a 230gr lead bullet. Can these casses be reloaded? If so can i just use a small pislol primer and load as normal?
