T/C hawken cougar .45

First of all, I'm brand new to the site. I'm a Student in school at Mississippi State. Just thought I'd introduce myself before I went to asking questions.
Now, that thats done, here we go lol

I have a have question about this gun since I can't find much info online about them. I have a guy wanting to trade me one for a pistol. He says it has been fired twice and looks really clean in the pictures. So, my question is, what is an average value for one of these? Also, how hard would it be to sell if I do trade for it? I'm not really into black powder stuff so I would probably turn right around and resell this gun. Thanks for any help

The Cougar was a limited or special run. Most were finished quite well with fancy walnut and in white metal. They also have a Cougar madallion imbedded in the stock. These are pretty little rifles second only to the Sencas. IMHO. When you decide to sell it, you will get some attention. I have an old catalog that lists the specs but could not put my finger on it. These have come up in GunBroker from time to time. My book lists $170.00 to $360.00 but there might be folks out there looking for one to complete a collection. Most were .50's but there were some .45's. Basically it's the SS version of the TC Hawken model. Hope this helps and good luck. There are a few members here that own them. Do a search in the forum for additinal info.

Oh, by the way, I'm interested ....
