RCBS JR press handle falls

My RCBS JR press handle falls down leaving the ram in the up position. I'm at work now so I can't look but is there a tension spring or some such, that is supposed to prevent this from happening. It's annoying to have to reach down and lift up the handle when I'm ready to start the press stroke.

I just looked online at RCBS instructions/parts list for JR press and they show a "tension spring" (part 16) in the diagram. Guess I'll have to check that when I get home. Meanwhile, anyone else have this problem?

Yup; all my RCBS Jr. presses do it. I keep them lubed up and it is a bit annoying, but considering I can load ammo that shoots into one bullet hole with them, I put up with that minor idiosyncracy. RCBS rules.

Stick with it. It will get old and used and dirty and will stick up straight like a Bishops........errrrrrrrr candle stick. Never fear they all do.
