Just received Baikal Semi-auto
Since there were no other posts regarding these shotguns
(MP-153), I decided to take a chance and purchase one. This is my first semi-auto shotgun. The last two years I used a Rem 870 Super-mag, and a Mossberg 835 Ulti-mag before that, so this year should be interesting. The small manual said to shoot 100 rounds of 1 1/8 oz or heavier to break in. The first few rounds didn't cycle fully. After four rounds, it started rocking. After only 25 rounds, I shot two boxes of Remington 1 oz loads without any problems. All together, I fired 130 rounds including 1 oz light loads & 1 1/8 oz, 3" steel #1 & BB, and 3 1/2" BB without any malfuntions. Seems to be a quality firearm and looking forward to trying it out during waterfowl season. That will be the deciding factor. Anyway, I really like it, especially the price! Gunhound |
