Duh,
After firing another box of shells, and talking with a bunch of experts I found out that one should never be pulling back on the pump of a pump shotgun when firing the weapon. It WILL cause the locking latch to bind. I was using the pump foregrip to help press the weapon into my shoulder. Thanks for all the assistance from you guys. Sometimes a new gun takes a little getting used to. Anyway, it sounds like your Marine Magnum was a good choice and is working out okay.
