In a State (MA) that bans water in plastic bottles, you can expect that anything with "gun" attached to it will be "banned". Is there a waiting period in MA before you can buy water in plastic bottles?

As far as I know, it's just one town within Massachusetts (Concord). The idea is that using plastic for single-serving water bottles is a waste of petrochemical resources, and is a big contributor to plastic in landfills.

I found it humorous her lust includes a .22LR version of an AR but only one maker/model, the Highpoint carbine, etc and declares they are only suitable for military use. Look out Marines, Diane has your new Highpoint Assault Carbine picked out for you.
Her list reads like a ignorant person browsing forums picking up names. Some are specific models others are an entire make (Olympic Arms) and then those that can't possibly be classed as anything near an assault firearm. |

Water bottles ain't the topic, folks.
I'm guessing the "safe" list will be very specific. Example: Remington 760, .30-06; Remington 760, .270; and so on. The idea of a "safe" list means newer guns can be forbidden because they're not on the list. Anyone who's dealt with California's "approved" list knows what I'm getting at, and it's a sneaky way to close the pool of available firearms in a few years.

Just reclassify your new ar15s as model 870? Just change the name to something on the approved list.

IMHO this is a similar issue to the FAA certification standards for new aircraft, which have long been accused of being overbearing as it relates to small and simple 2-6 seat prop-powered general aviation airplanes. Many such models on the new aircraft market are fundamentally a modified version of a design with roots in the 1930s through the 1960s, because it's easier, cheaper, and more straightforward to certify a modification than to take chances with something all-new.

Safe list announced...
The text of the bill is up...and most of the guns on the safe list ARE NOT SEMI-AUTOMATIC!
The "safe list" includes SxS and O/U shotguns! The list starts on Page 23 and ends on Page 118. http://www.feinstein.senate.gov/publ...f-69e69f517fb4

Has a Barrett product of any kind ever been used in the commission of a crime?

Something else that I just noticed...the FAL..wasnt that created and put into service a couple years before the AR-15/10? So shouldn't the list be all FAL types by her twisted logic? |

Okay, I may be missing it in the Bill, or it may be in a different one, but I was pursuing a more general interest forum a little while ago, and a poster there was happy because Curio and Relic firearms were to be barred from import.
Where is that to be found? Or is that just a really delusional anti-?

Page 3 and 4
Looks like page 3 and page 4 cover way too much specifications. Even the Taurus Judge Revolver won't pass this:
"Any shotgun with a revolving cylinder." This sets the precedent to take out revolvers. ‘‘A semiautomatic shotgun that has any 1 of the following:" "A pistol grip." "A forward grip." So shotguns are no longer allowed to be ergonomic? Grip-free shotguns anyone? Last edited by freedash22; January 26, 2013 at 06:16 PM. Reason: Wrong display lines |

It is all about appearance. Which is more "deadly", a 9mm from a Hi Point carbine, a 5.56 from an "assault rifle" or say a 30.06 or 450 NE? The whole AWB is about show. "We did something to curb gun violence." Seriously, though, the bad thing is this is just a small step in disarming the masses, serfs, slaves, or whatever you want to refer to the citizens as. What will be next?
