lah and Mxsailor, The AAC Handi rifle was a special run sold by Advanced Armament and also Palmetto State Armory. It has a threaded 16 inch 1/7 barrel and for whatever reason a very short composite stock. Mine has one of the standard camo composite stock sets purchased off Epay to fit long arms. This rifle in 300 Blackout is just the neatest 100 yd rifle I have shot in a long time, the monster (to me anyway) hog I shot was 59.2 yards and a 125 gr bullet turned his lights out quickly. I do not have any idea how to post a photo but my buddy put a picture of it on "the Hunt" section..topic was about --Recommended Guides for Hogs.
My rifle has a Nixon P223 3x scope which is short and fits the rifle nicely. PSA still has the riffle on sale for about $300.

I had an older Savage model 219 in 30-30 for a time. The chamber was reamed to 30-30 Ackley Improved. Handloaded 125 grain spitzer bullets rivaled 300 Savage 150 grain ballistics. Accuracy was quite good, too.

30-30 is a keeper!

A short Single shot rifle is SO darn handy in a deer blind, its REALLY hard not to take one along. Ever since I bought my daughter that CVA Hunter in 243, I've found myself taking it to the woods every time I go. I was going to get myself one in 44 mag. But since you posted this I'm going to try and find the H&R in .30 .30.

A friend of mine purchased a Handi Rifle in .357 magnum and had the chamber reamed out for the 357 Maximum. He can shoot 357 Max, 357 Mag, or 38 Special out of it. It makes for quite a versatile rifle.

Mosailor, "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways" The Handi went with me every day while in Texas last month while my 300 BLackout AR was shot only for fun. I took six small pigs with the Handi/300 Blackout and fired an additional 50-60 rounds at steel plates. At a hundred it is pretty potent but I would not want to shoot much further with that particular set up. When I got the crosshairs on "Spot" (the 350# boar at sixty yards) the cartridge did everything expected of it. Once again I shoot supersonic and have no interest in suppressing a firearm.

This is another Handi Rifle 'shortie'.

It has been reamed to .357 MAXIMUM. With a 180 gr. bullet going 2,100 fps, it cooks anything you shoot under 20 yards. The muzzle blast will blow away chronometers two lanes on either side of your shooting bench.

It has the ballistics of a .35 Remington with about half the recoil. Plus the grandkids can shoot recoil free .38 wadcutters from it.
