10X65R
Can anyone shed some light on the ballistics of this round and where to find ammunition in this chambering?

I don't find any information on a 10×65R. Do you maybe mean the 10.3×65R Baenziger? I know it is a .42 caliber (.423") cartridge about the same length as a .30-06, but with more case capacity. Most of the bullets available in that diameter seem to be in the 300 to 400 grain range. I just don't know what its operating pressures are supposed to be, so I can't guess at its actual performance?

I've never heard of a 10x65Rmm Collath, but there is a 10.75x65R mm Collath listed in 11th edition of cartridges of the world.
It has no loading information, and only very sketchy historical information, other than to say that it's the largest of the Collath-developed cartridges and that case dimensions are similar to those of the .405 Winchester. It does note that it was loaded with a 205-gr. bullet. |
