How many rounds = wornout?

Local forum member has an XD9 service with 4 mags and hoster he wants $350 for. He has shot IPDA with it for the last few years and esimates he has 4 to 5k rounds through it.

Have not seen pictures but he says it has finish wear.

Is this a fair or even decent price for an XD with this many rounds.

Sent from an HTC mobile device....

Here's a brand new one, 3" barrel though for $399. Look around, you can get brand new for not much more than that used one!

I think this is a pretty good indication of what an XD9 can handle.

unless he has modifications such as a trigger job, heavy guidrod, sights ETC... then 350 is not a good deal for an XD with 5K through it. heck that's barely a decent price for an XDM9 with that many rounds through it.

At 5K rounds it should just about be getting broken in. Definitely not worn out unless he fed it hot xtra power handloads.

4-5k rounds should not even begin to wear out a quality pistol. The question in my mind is whether the pistol is reliable, especially if you plan to use it for serious purposes. 4,000 rounds means little if 3,000 of them were jams.

Whether it is worth the price is another question.

Price is not that great for a normal xd with that much through it. That being said 4000 - 5000 rounds is nothing All things cOnsidered

5,000 rounds just means that somebody did the boring part for you. Have fun shooting that broken in XD!
