223 load question

Im using imr 4895 for hornady 45 grain hp/bee. My lyman manual shows 45 gr jacketed spt at 25.2 grains starting load. Is this load the same for the hp/bee? It seems to be more grains than alot of starting loads. I havent started yet. Im also using lake city brass. Does the thicker walls have much effect on pressure. If so how do you compensate?
Thanks

Speer list a "Start" charge of 25gr IMR 4895 with 45gr bullets, so you should be fine starting at 25.2gr. Sorry don't know anything about the Hornady BEE bullet. Sounds like a bullet designed for the 22 Hornet or the 218 BEE, not sure how it will handle the speed and pressure of a 223/5.56?

Yes, thicker walls will affect pressure due to reduced case capacity. That said, your Lake City Brass most likely does NOT have less case capacity or thicker wall than civilian 223 brass. In fact most LC brass has more case capacity than 223 civilian brass.
