Benelli Nova Problems

Hey all,
my friends recently brought me a benelli nova that was jammed. to make a long story short i stripped the gun down only to discover that the roll pin that holds the ejector plate and spring in the receiver had fallen out. i put the spring and plate back in and when i went to put the pin in and just the spring pressure would push it back out. so i was wondering first off if this is a common problem, and wat do i do to fix it? am i just not driving the pin in far enough or wat? haha
any help or input is greatly appreciated

Hmmm. I've had one for a couple of years - no problems. No jams. Different experiences, I guess.
About the roll pin - I'll take a look at mine, though I'm away from home now. If there is no other response, I'll post what I find if it will help. Won't be until tomorrow.

There is a release on the bottom of the forearm so you can remove a round without cycling in another round. If you accidently press that release while cycling, you can cause all sorts of problems.
