All the pistol dies I have ever used can be adjusted to crimp, but I have by no means used them all.

I'm almost ceartian I'm wrong. Just don't remember seeing anything in the instructions about crimping with the seater. Unless that is supposed to be a known fact and I never got the memo! Ha. A lot have mentioned that. If all else fails I'll take the die apart and look for the crimp shoulder. Thanks Reynolds!

I don't own the 4 die set, just the 3 die set. Please give Lee a call to ascertain if your seater will crimp. I use the FCDs to apply a taper crimp, but use the seater dies to produce nice roll crimps. |

Striving to crimp on either the front or rear of a crimping groove will squeeze the bullet forward or backward. Seat to crimp in the middle of the groove and all will be well.
All the crimping a .38 S. usually needs is enough to remove the flare anyway. |
