Richland .44 Kentucky Pistol - Info Needed

Hi Guys,

I got a great 'estate sale' deal on a percussion lock, .44 caliber Kentucky pistol, marked RICHLAND. Now what? I have experience with an 1851 Navy revolver, but no experience with single shots. What kind of powder and how many grains. What size ball, patch, and nipples would you recommend. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Paul
