Pioneer Safe Co.

Does anyone have any experience (first or otherwise) with them? I read a couple references to them on some forum (can't recall which) some time ago. I'm in the market for a safe sub $1000 delivered and this seems to offer good paper specs with 1/4" door, 1/8" body and 9 bolts (both sides active). Just looking for some input before pulling the trigger.

Thanks

Not bad for the price. I'd probably trust it to protect $10K, but not $100K. To maximize your investment:
  • don't tell anyone about it
  • bolt it down very securely
  • put it in the tightest space possible to inhibit access with prying or pointed tools
  • store tools or blades useful for cracking it inside the safe if possible
  • make sure the truck that delivers it is unmarked if possible

Thanks a bunch for your help. Plan to put it in a relatively tight closet and bolt into slab floor.

Anyone else have any info on this company?

I would also say its a decent safe for the price. 1/8" thick body; 1/4" door - pretty standard for an entry level safe. Still, nicely finished and seems like shipping is included - not bad.

Put a barrier between the steel and any concrete slab; thin rubber sheet will do the job, otherwise corrosion is a real possibility

Thought I'd follow up here in case anyone is looking into a safe from these guys down the road. Received the safe quickly and discreetly. I am pleased with the quality and after my research, do not believe it can be beat for the price. Would definitely recommend.
