17 HMR in competition

Just on a fact finding tour. So far I haven't found anything on official competitive shooting events involving the 17 HMR. Maybe it's my less than great surfing skills, who knows.

Granted, ammuntition cost compared to the .22LR would definitely be a factor as to why it may not be a practical choice for many to compete with.

Any input would be appreciated.

I know of no widely sanctioned competition that recognizes .17 HMR.
Maybe some local outlaw match.
Maybe you could organize one in your area.

Yeah, Jim, that definitely is something I'm thinking about doing; the interest is there, that's for sure. I'll be chatting with my fellow club members at our upcoming meeting! Thanks for the input!
